Gallatin Gateway School Educating the Future

Gallatin Gateway School is hiring a 1.0 FTE school counselor for the remainder of the 2023-2024 academic year with a broad spectrum of interests and experiences to teach and assist our students in grades kindergarten through eighth.  First and foremost, this position requires a love and devotion to children and to the needs of our families.  Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to assist children in the areas of academic achievement, career exploration, and social/emotional development.

 

Skills needed include classroom management, computer knowledge, grammar and writing, differentiated instruction, and knowledge of local resources for families.  This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills for the classroom and for community relations.  This position calls for a team-player approach and an ability to integrate content across multiple disciplines. A flexible, team-player approach is needed for working in this family-oriented, high-expectations school atmosphere.

 

Qualified applicants should understand the Montana State Standards and Expectations, and be Montana K-12 Certified as a school counselor. Preference will be given to applicants who also possess a K-8 teaching license or other Montana teacher certification.
