I love teaching 2nd grade!  I have been teaching at Gallatin Gateway School for 30 years. I graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education along with a math minor. I have 60+ continuing education credits which include training in the MBI program (Montana Behavior Initiative), the Keystone Math and Science Project, AIMS (Activities Integrating Math and Science), Differentiated Instruction, and Computer Technology.

My hobbies include jogging, hiking, reading, and working in my yard. I come from a family of teachers. My grandmother and great-aunt were teachers in one-room schoolhouses when they began their careers. I have aunts and several cousins that teach. I also have two sisters that have graduated in the field of education. One of them teaches in the northeastern part of Montana. The part that I enjoy most about working with young children is their desire and enthusiasm to learn...and the fact that I get to see the world through their eyes daily!
