Mrs. Krogstad

My name is Neal Krogstad, and this is my seventh year at Gallatin Gateway School! I have also taught in a second and third grade combination classroom in Fortine, Montana. While I miss having Glacier National Park in my backyard, I will gladly trade it for the wild animals of Yellowstone National Park! Little did I know that there would be Gators in Montana! I was born near gators in New Orleans and it seems fitting that I am now a proud Gator at Gallatin Gateway School. I grew up in St. Louis, received my Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville in Indiana then moved to Denver, Colorado, where I met my husband. I started my education degree in Denver and graduated from Montana State University in 2008. Go Cats! I have had a lifelong love of teaching and working with kids. My first teaching assignment was at home, among my students (stuffed animals), and my principal was my mom. Many things have changed from those days. I have served as a Special Education Learning Specialist for five years in Louisville, Colorado and also as a child care director and a summer camp director for elementary-aged children. I was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor for 15 years. Kids have always been a part of my life and I look forward to going to work every day! I am married, with three kids of the furry four-legged variety (one dog, and two cats). I enjoy spending time on my husband's family farm and teasing his grandfather. Please call or email me with any questions you may have! I look forward to working with you and your student!
