Hi! My name is Joe Mohr. I have been a teacher at Gallatin Gateway School for 20 years. Prior to that I taught at Emerson and Morningstar schools in Bozeman. I was also the youth director for the Salvation Army and a summer coach at M.S.U. Sports Camp for many years. I received my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Bluffton University in Ohio, a Bachelor of Art in Elementary Education at Montana State University, and a Masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Montana State University. In 2002, I received a Gold Star Award for Excellence in teaching at Gallatin Gateway School. I often speak at the Montana Literacy Council conventions as reading is also a strong passion of mine.

I enjoy music, rock climbing, my family, my garden, and generally all playful activities. I love this planet and am so very thankful for the time I'm given here. Remember, every word or action has either a positive or negative effect on those around us. That's my mantra every day on the way to school.
